The Embassy's consular section only deals with inquiries about residence permits, passports, visas, social security matters, etc. There are three Austrian Consulates General in the United States. As each one serves residents from a particular region, please contact the respective office for assistance. If you reside outside the U.S., please contact the Austrian Embassy or Consulate in your country.

If you do not reside in the United States of America (e.g. being in the U.S. as a tourist) you cannot apply for a visa at the Austrian Embassy or Consulates General. You must apply for the visa at the Austrian Embassy or Consulate in your country of residence.
