A standard international transfer is an order given by the payer to debit a specified amount to the payer's account and credit it to the recipient's account.
The easiest way to give instructions for an international transfer is by using an "International Transfer Order" form.
Forms are available at any branch and you can also download the form from this website. If a typewriter or a PC is used for completing the form, the payment can be processed quickly.
An international transfer can be made to the debit of a euro account or of a credit balance in foreign currency.

Instructions can be issued in the form of a payment order or as a cheque payment.

Charges for international transfers
"Free of charge for the beneficiary" = charges of the payer's bank and of the recipient's bank are borne by the payer (e.g. payments to public authorities, health insurance and pension insurance institutions, congress fees).
"Free of charge for the payer" = if the payer pays only the effective amount to be transferred, the domestic charges will also be debited to the account of the foreign recipient.
